Hello! I have been playing around with a formula based ranking list of currently available gaming mice for first person combat based games.

I realize that such a list is extremely flawed given how subjective mouse preference is, how flawed my equations are, as well as the fact that I based many of these ratings mostly off of what I’ve heard from reviewers (I can’t afford $5000 of mice). but I found it to be a fun project. Let me know if you agree or disagree with the placement of these.

Quick update from OP after reading through all the replies. I ended up trying a couple options and honestly the advice about shape being more important than chasing ultra low weight was spot on for me. I went with something from the Logitech gaming mice lineup (specifically a G305 style shape first, then tested a lighter one after).

The G305 shape just felt way more natural for longer FPS sessions, even if it is a bit heavier than the superlight stuff. Battery thing didn’t bother me as much as I thought, and comfort made a bigger difference than raw weight in the end.

im looking to replace my current mouse soon because its started double clicking randomly and the shape never really felt great for long sessions anyway. i mostly play fps games but also spend a lot of time on my pc outside gaming, so comfort matters just as much as performance for me.

ive been checking reviews and now im completely stuck because every mouse seems to have people who love it and people who hate it. lightweight mice especially seem super popular now, but im not sure if they actually make a noticeable difference long term or if its mostly preference.

for people here who upgraded recently, what mouse ended up being worth it for you? did you notice any real difference switching to a lighter mouse or different shape? and if you had to recommend one gaming mouse in 2026 for both gaming and everyday use, what would you pick?

if you want a comfortable mouse i definitely recommend mchose g3 v2 pro(its egg shape similiar to logitech g305) if you play longer session of games it has a good specs on it too and budget friendly not too expensive

Viper v3/v4 pro. Top tier shape, specs, coating, lightweight, weight balance, just the best and I've tried a good amount of mice.

And yes lightweight makes a huge difference, I was using a g502 for almost a decade and had wrist pain so I tried a lightweight mouse and it was night and day for everything. Less wrist pain and they're just so much better for everything. People who recommend heavy mice or the g502 don't know what they're talking about

So basically I need new good performing gaming mouse cuz my current mouse is lowkey trash and my current options that I’m thinking to buy are VXE R1 Pro and Attack shark x3 but I think I’ll go with VXE R1 Pro for now, so what budget gaming mouse would you guys recommend ?

Personally, buying a heavy mouse in 2026 is objectively less enjoyable as it's more fatiguing and makes aim and even general movement far more difficult. I would say a mouse that's above 70g better have some very special and specific thing you're looking for to offset the downside of the weight.

I started to list some recommendations but I found that you will likely be better served looking up "Best of..." videos on YouTube. Boardzy, AimAdapt, DiamondLobby Reviews, and MANY more creators will give you a wide breadth of options and opinions on them.

Only thing I would be wary of is people telling you to buy the best of the best and telling you to spend $150+ dollars on a mouse when you're not sure exactly what you want yet. Buying previous gen at a good discount is very compelling as well as these new brands who are challenging the big names with much better prices.

For myself, I'm using the Viper V3 Pro, EGG XM2w 4k v2, and Pulsar Tenz Mouse. All for claw grip users with medium to large hands.

Just picked up an ASUS ROG Strix G16 and I'm looking to upgrade my mouse. Curious what everyone is using these days for FPS/MMO gaming.

Games I mainly play:

• Marathon
• Warzone
• Apex Legends
• Battlefield 6
• Cyberpunk 2077
• WoW

Right now I'm considering:

• Logitech G502 X Lightspeed
• Razer Basilisk V3 Pro
• Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro

If you've used any of these, what did you like/dislike? Or is there another mouse you'd recommend instead?

I upgraded to the Razer viper v3 pro and it’s been awesome for me. Very light weight, good battery and shape as well

So I’ve been looking to buy a budget mouse, and I’ve finally decided I’d get the vxe r1 se+ (30$ / 2600rs):

Reasons why I chose it over others: - super lightweight, only 54g - 1000hz polling rate, this is why I had to discount cheaper alternatives like hxsj t26 - has PAW3395 se which is from what I saw better than the PixArt 3311 that every other mouse seems to have. - good design, I definitely don’t want it to be flashy or goofy, most gaming mice look ugly tbh - wireless with option for Bluetooth, I would have been fine with just wired but ig this is better because I can use it with my MacBook too now - good battery, other options seem to have only about 250mah, but this has 500, and it’s still lightweight.

Are there better options? I’ve been looking for days now and this how my search went: I initially just ignored brands like ant esports because they’d probably just be like what boat is for audio, and looking at this sub I seem correct.

I thought I’d avoid (but still consider) popular brands like razer or Logitech because at this budget they’d probably markup prices and skip out on features to entice customers to buy their costlier models.

So from reviews I saw that at this budget clones from brands such as hxsj or attack shark were good. I saw that hxsj j900 met all my requirements but it’s marked up by a lot on Amazon (30$ again). There’s also the j400 but I don’t like its design. So only the hxsj t26 at about 1.3k (15$) was left and I discounted that too because it had a polling rate of 125hz.

So then I went on to check attack shark r1, it was listed at 2.5k (30$) on meckeys, it also had all my requirements checked, I proceeded to look at alternatives at around the same price, and that’s when I found the vxe r1 se+, which has better stats in pretty much all departments.

I also did see brands like Aula (I know they make good keyboards) but didn’t find a good model from them. And brands like cosmic byte or archer tech lab, I wasn’t sure which category they fall into, are they like zebronics who just rebrand cheap nonsense (basically an Indian brand which resells Chinese stuff) or do they actually make decent stuff?

Anyways, I’m open to suggestions for better wired mice under 2k (20$) and wireless mice under 3k (30$). I’d also appreciate if you can let me know if I have any misconception based on what I’ve said about my search till now. FYI, alieexpress is banned in our country, so that isn’t an option. Meckeys works afaik though.

Give an info about your hand size and grip style

I'm currently using the ec3-cw / dw and superlight 2c one is an Ambi and the other one is an ergo I have small hands of 17x10 and my grip style is relaxed claw/pincer. I prefer using the ec3 shape for tac fps because I feel very stable in ergo while the superlight 2c is for moba and fast paced shooter
